The Girl in The Dark

The girl asks the window questions but the window whispers nothing to her. She wants to know what the outside world hides from her. The innocence of childhood holds her back. The joyful innocence of wonderful childhood but why did she want to know. She should enjoy her childhood, not wish to pollute it with the stench of the world. She needed to stay clean but she didn’t want to. She went looking to the window and soon enough she saw the rest of the world.

I was tired of childhood. I went looking for the truth. I didn’t know what the truth was but now I know that I still wish I didn’t know the truth. At the age of seven I went looking, looking, and looking. I found what I had been looking for. But once I figured out that Santa wasn’t real I realized I wished I had never gone looking in the first place. That's what childhood tragedy this picture reminds me of.
