Holocaust and The Book Thief By Cassidy Nelson

These are some of the things that i learned while exploring the Holocaust.

1. By the end of the Holocaust, The Nazis had killed about two out of every three Jew in Europe.

2. Between 1941 and 1944 The Nazis had deported millions of Jews out of Germany and neighboring countries to Death Camps to be gassed, shot, or tortured.

3. There were 20,000 camps built to imprison these innocent people.

This information connects to The Book Thief. In the book, Germany and Hitler have already started to discriminate by race and religion and people are already starting to praise Hitler like a God. At the store in the story where you have agree with Hitler to even walk in, people start to think that that is the right thing to do. This was truly a time of dishonor and shame for the human race. Like we said before, Never Again.
