Midnight Scare by Alysann Flower

As the sun was rising there were only a few clouds up above my head. I was remembering the terrible event from last night. As I was rising higher and higher into the journey of stars with the cold iron bar pressed against my leg. I looked to the lighted city streets and witnessed a murder being commited. A second after the deed was done the town was thrust into pitchblack darkness. Suddenly a blood curdiling scream erupted from the tops of the many worn through roofs of the town homes. Lights suddenly came on like crazy as everyone looked out their windows all aligned on eright next to the other. People were shouting from the left and the right trying to figure out what had just happened. We could all already hear the sounds of sirens from cop cars coming towards the dark, gloomy city street where one of the worst crimes had just been commited.
