The Jabberwocky

Well, since no one has yet posted any poems, I thought that I'd continue the chain by adding another one of my favorites, that I know both Jasmine and Steven have memorized, as well as I. Here is: The Jabberwocky.

The Jabberwocky
By Lewis Carroll

'Twas brillig and the slithy toes
Did gyre and gimble in the way.
All mimsy were the borrogroves
And the mome wraths outgrave.

Beware the Jabberwock, my son
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch.
Beware the Jub-Jub bird and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch.

He took his vorpal sword in hand;
Long time the maxmum foe he sought.
So rested he by a Tum-Tum tree
And stood a while in thought.

And as in uffish thought he stood
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame
Came whiffling through the tulgy wood
And burbled as it came.

One-two one-two and through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead and with its head
He went gallumping back.

And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my bemish boy!
Oh frabjous day, callou callait!
He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig and the slithy toes
Did gyre and gimble in the way.
All mimsy were the borrogroves
And the mome wraths outgrave.

Remember that this is all from memory, so if I spelled anything wrong forgive me. He made up so many of those words, though that I doubt it matters. Bloggers, continue posting!
