Our world By Berkley Mitchell

As the stars began to rise
on the milky colored canvas,
the sun sinks.
It sinks, it tares down families,
families with hopes, dreams, prayers,
and answers. It takes down secrets, lies,
regrets, chivalry, and hope.
As the world stares down on what it has
made, it takes its' last breath and dreams.

Poem 2.

Our world is a gnarled, twisted, angry jungle.
Full of predators and full of prey, full of dreams,
fun of hope. Full of defeat, full of victory.
Only the strong will survive.

The time By Ellie Dow

As I walk down the long hallway and through the pale door, I hear songs of merriness run through my mind and out of my mouth. As cloth lands on me the songs run more an more frequently and a smile of approval begins to creep upon my mouth as I see my reflection on my dark slippers. Soon I feel my mothers gentle hands run through my hair as she readies it for primping. While she is doing so I can feel my foot vibrating to the beat of my mind songs. As I walk down the stairs I gently lift up the corner of my gown and smile to my dad. He gives me a hug and whispers,"You look beautiful." To reassure myself I look at my reflection and begin to smile in pleasure, knowing that I'm ready for the choir concert.

Chance- Song lyrics by Jasmine Crespo

Chance
Is it chance I ran into you?
Is it chance that we fell in love?
Is it chance that I broke your heart?

So,
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at love!
I promise I’ll do better now.
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at life!
I’ll do better then I did then.

What’s the point of life without you?
I’m so hopeless and lost without you!
The pain I’m feeling inside,
I think it multiplied,
Without seeing you each day.

So,
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at love!
I promise I’ll do better now.
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at life!
I’ll do better then I did then.
So give me a chance,
Give me a chance
And we’ll see how it lasts,
See how it lasts.
I was such a jerk.
I went so bizerk.
I messed up real bad,
So give me a second chance!
How many times do i say sorry?
What can I do?
To make you,

Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at love!
I promise I’ll do better now.
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance,
Give me a second chance at life!
I’ll do better then I did then.

So,
Give me a chance,
Give me a chance.
Then I’ll sing and dance,
Sing and dance.
I’ll wipe away the tears I left behind.
If you give me a chance.

I Thought by Taylor Tomlinson

Sorry guys for posting two poems so close together!

I thought I knew you

Guess I was wrong

I thought the best of you

Though you only show the worst

I trusted you with my secrets

And you gave them away

I gave you my trust

And you threw it away

I know better now

Then to trust you

With my life

My heart

My soul

Though I wish

I still could

Strike My Past, Another Poem by Marisa B.

Strike the sky
Strike it down
Steal the life away

Fade forever
Out of fact
Into myth
Towards legend

Past remembrance
Past hope of return
Towards happy days
Strike down my Past

Remember By Taylor Tomlinson

You try to forgive the bad
You try to forget the worst
You try to remember the best
But you end up
Never forgiving, though covering it up
Remembering the worst parts, though saying you don't
Barely recall the good, though you wish you knew more
And crave for more of the lost, though it will never return
But though these cruel things are bad
They can't shadow the good
That you barely recall
For in 30 years
You might not forgive, but you will forget
But those moments
Are the moments you will remember.
No matter what.

R.I.P Michelle Welch, I'll always remember you!

I was Googling The Book Thief and found an interview with Markus Zusak at a book festival called the Hay Festival. Thanks for Giving: By, Mariana Alvarez

My family gathers together, and laughs and talk a lot and all the children go running about the house screaming and yelling. Thanksgiving Day is hectic. But it’s before all the family members arrive and the laughs and conversations start when all the hard preparation begins.
