2. Many cities such as Warsaw and Lodz had ghettos where the jews would be kept. Tens of thousands of jews died from malnutrition, overpopulation, and disease. Many jews still tried to keep up their culture and religion.
3. One of the biggest concentration camps was Auschwitz. Over one and a half million people were killed their and 9 out of 10 of them were jews.
This has to do with The Book Thief because, it was in the same time period. The ghettos remind me of the streets, and how some of the house were all worn down. I also thought that Rudy's dad told him to be happy with his blond hair and blue eyes. The Book Thief has helped me understand a lot about this time period.
